Figma – Data Science Lead

  • Started as an IC focused on experimentation and led a few big migrations (homegrown experimentation platform -> Statsig, homegrown ETL -> dbt).
  • Founded a new team, Core Data, that did applied research and built data products.
  • Switched to management and eventually began leading the AI, Infra, and Core Data Science teams.
  • Learned a ton about leadership, hiring, developing people, and launching new products.

Google – Software Engineer, Chrome Safe Browsing

  • Worked on Chrome Safe Browsing, with a focus on protecting users from malware in Microsoft Office files.
  • Had the chance to work on Google Chrome, my favorite product.
  • Learned what it was like to work at a large company and that I prefer work that involves data.
